About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance position is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and various miscellaneous tasks to ensure that the buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. This role requires working in an environment that may expose the individual to various elements, and it emphasizes the importance of maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Janitorial or custodial experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Clean offices, meeting rooms, and recreational facilities.
  • Mop tile and concrete floor areas.
  • Vacuum all carpet and rugs.
  • Dust all fixtures and furniture as required.
  • Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, and hand dryers.
  • Clean all mirrors.
  • Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed.
  • Empty waste baskets and trash cans.
  • Clean all entrance and exit glass doors.
  • Keep outside area near entrance and exits clear of snow, cans, paper, etc.
  • Clean and wash all drinking fountains.
  • Wash walls of grease and fingerprints where needed.
  • Perform minor maintenance repairs.
  • Report damage or vandalism.
  • Spot clean walls and toilet partitions.
  • Keep chemicals in secure storage and inventory.
  • Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to customers.
  • Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environmental performance results and findings.
