Summary: The Licensed Master Plumber holds the license that all other technicians in that trade will work under for the system and is responsible for ensuring that all work is performed according to all applicable laws, federal, state and local. In addition, this role may be called upon to supervise and lead a group of workers on a project, teach advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department, review work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers, and report on and repair discrepancies, as assigned. Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade facility and lab‑critical plumbing and utility systems—including piping, fixtures, drains, reverse osmosis systems, lab gases, and water‑waste systems—to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation that supports uninterrupted R&D lab and office operations, including rapid response to equipment issues that may impact operations Work cross-functionally with onsite mechanical, plumbing, controls, and HVAC teammates to coordinate system repairs and upgrades that directly impact laboratory equipment performance and facility reliability. Independently manage a personal queue of corrective and preventative work orders while coordinating vendor‑supported small projects, ensuring timely completion, proper documentation, and adherence to lab and safety standards.
