Project Manager 2 – Facilities Leasing & Project Manager Oregon Department of Transportation Support Services Division Facilities Salem / Hybrid The role: This position oversees leasing, space planning, and facility projects for DMV offices statewide to ensure efficient, compliant, and well-functioning work environments. The role directly supports ODOT’s mission by helping deliver safe, reliable, and accessible services to the public through effective facility management. Requirements

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept OR
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept AND an Oregon Project Management Associate Certification OR
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept AND a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, public administration, or a closely related field OR
  • A Project Management Professional Certification awarded by the Project Management Institute.
  • Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record.

  • Excellent communication skills for working with DAS, contractors, DMV leadership, and property owners.
  • Ability to interpret and apply state/federal rules, building codes, ADA requirements, and policy guidelines.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to track timelines, budgets, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the DMV statewide leasing program, including negotiations, renewals, and site searches.
  • Coordinate DMV space acquisition and planning, including site evaluations and space needs.
  • Manage DMV build-to-suit and remodel projects from RFP development through completion.
  • Oversee property management for all DMV field offices, including repairs, inspections, and contractor coordination.
  • Manage the Facilities Services space planning program, including layouts, systems furniture, and installation coordination.
  • Develop and manage leasing and construction budgets; review and approve related invoices.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Submit work orders for DMV field office needs, ensuring accurate scopes of work and appropriate routing for completion.
  • Coordinate service contracts (janitorial, security, HVAC) and ensure services meet business needs.
  • Provide technical information to DAS, ODOT Procurement, and other agencies to support contract and facilities issue resolution.
