About The Position

The Facilities Leader in Pasadena will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of all facility building systems at our Pasadena location, ensuring a productive and well-maintained environment for all occupants.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing complex facility building systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of staff and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices (e.g., OSHA, NFPA).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFM, FMP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of all facility building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and building automation systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to optimize system performance, extend asset lifespan, and minimize downtime.
  • Lead and supervise a team of facilities technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and contracts for facility-related services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
  • Manage facility budgets, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to building codes, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Respond promptly to facility emergencies and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support their facility needs and planned projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
