This position performs a broad range of residential and commercial HVAC work. Tasking includes the installation, repair and performance of preventative maintenance on the following systems: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, building automation and laboratory equipment. This position is also responsible for the installation, repair and PM of equipment including chillers, rooftop units, unitary equipment, water towers, ductless split systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps and other auxiliary equipment. Inspects and repairs various building components through our work order system and PM program. All work performed by this position shall comply with state and local building codes. This position works as a member of a versatile facilities team that performs office/lab fit up work, major maintenance, renovation and minor construction projects. This position is also expected to assist other trades with construction, repair and maintenance work. Valid NYS Driver's license required.

  • Perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Work on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, building automation, and laboratory equipment.
  • Install, repair, and maintain chillers, rooftop units, unitary equipment, water towers, ductless split systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Inspect and repair various building components through the work order system and PM program.
  • Comply with state and local building codes in all work performed.
  • Collaborate with a facilities team on office/lab fit up work, major maintenance, renovation, and minor construction projects.
  • Assist other trades with construction, repair, and maintenance work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of general plumbing experience required.
  • Valid NYS driver's license and insurability required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Background screening will be required.
