About The Position

The Facilities HVAC Tech II position is responsible for general maintenance and repairs of the HVAC and refrigeration equipment and machinery related to the company's local facilities and grounds. This role requires limited direction and supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools and work safely on a ladder.
  • Working knowledge of standard office tools including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Willingness and ability to work on site.

Responsibilities

  • Performs day to day service and maintenance work on all serviceable HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance of all HVAC and refrigeration including filter changes, belt replacements, lubrication, and visual checks of internal components.
  • Orders and gathers materials for maintenance and repairs of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment and machinery.
  • Receives and responds to work requests through the internal work request system.
  • Coordinates with facilities related vendors for HVAC and refrigeration contractors when necessary.
  • Assists team in moving, building, or repairing cubicles, desks, and other furniture.
  • Identifies repairs and maintenance needs around campus and presents them to the supervisor or higher for assignment.
  • Works independently or with a team at the direction of the lead or higher.
  • Adheres to safe work practices and the Company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Understands relevant security, privacy, and compliance principles and adheres to applicable regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensures other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
