About The Position

The Facilities HR Specialist (Recruiter) at Florida State University is responsible for coordinating and administering HR recruitment functions within the Facilities HR department. This role serves as a resource for hiring supervisors and new HR departmental representatives, ensuring the integrity and reliability of job postings and candidate eligibility processes. The specialist will manage employment transactions from application to hire, provide outstanding customer service, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources or a related field, or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience.
  • Knowledge of human resource administration principles and practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop alternatives.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to employment and recruitment.
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise and counsel others.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer employment and recruitment processes for Facilities departments.
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of job postings and candidate eligibility processes.
  • Process all employment transactions efficiently from application to hire.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Interpret employment and recruitment policies and procedures for compliance with regulations.
  • Engage in regular communications with the Office of Human Resources.
  • Assist in enhancing and implementing new technology and procedures for the section.
  • Attend job fairs and assist with related activities such as sign-up and preparation of materials.
  • Train Facilities hiring supervisors and HR Facilities Department Representatives.
