Facilities Helper
About The Position
Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. Collection of trash in all areas and maintenance of the trash compactor area. Operation of the floor scrubber to maintain all floors. Monitor plant and grounds cleanliness and correct problem areas. Responsible for handling and baling recycled materials. Will be required to work plant shutdowns to meet project deadlines during available time. Assist facilities techs when needed. Demonstrate commitment to Rockline’s RRITE Values of Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence. Associates have a direct and important role in ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of each associate’s essential accountabilities. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have some experience maintaining a large facility
- Must be a motivated self-starter and able to manage time while working alone
- Must pay close attention to detail
- Must be able to work as a team player
- Must be able to follow instructions well
- Must maintain excellent attendance record
- Must be able to pass a functional capacity exam for facilities tech including pushing, pulling and lifting of 50# on a continual basis while baling
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge in construction, plumbing, operation of power tools and light equipment a plus
- Forklift experience a plus but not required. Obtaining certification will be required.
