About The Position

SUMMARY Operates the plant safely and in a manner that optimizes plant and equipment efficiencies, minimizing down time, energy consumption and operating costs while maintaining system reliability. Responsible for all district plant operations and facilities, and supervises assigned personnel. This position will be a member of the HVAC Shop. The position will be the foreman focused on a team performing preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with state regulations for all HVAC equipment MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS H.S Diploma or G.E.D Five cumulative years experience in any of the following fields: Facility/Plant Operations, HVAC/Refrigeration, chillers, boilers, variable frequency drives, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, paint, glass and Energy Management Controls Systems (EMCS). Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Requirements

  • H.S Diploma or G.E.D
  • Five cumulative years experience in any of the following fields: Facility/Plant Operations, HVAC/Refrigeration, chillers, boilers, variable frequency drives, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, paint, glass and Energy Management Controls Systems (EMCS).
  • Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and lift test.
  • Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
  • MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Four years of Supervisory Experience
  • Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in assigned field.
  • Universal chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) Certification (if programmatically required)
  • Plumbing: Working knowledge of Welding and Machine Shop. Knowledge of Plumbing Codes
  • Paint/Glass: Knowledge of furniture repair and sign making
  • Carpentry: Knowledge of roofing, tile setting, and/or surface material installation
  • Fire & Safety: Supervises the installation, repair and maintenance of loc door closer, electronic, fire and safety, equipment and systems.
