About The Position

The Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Technician II is responsible for all facility-related maintenance, including general HVAC, facility equipment, cleanroom environment equipment, and sidewalk snow removal. The role supports Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by ensuring production equipment and infrastructure are in good working order and that abnormalities are responded to quickly and accurately. Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective equipment maintenance, which may involve light fabrication, troubleshooting, and part replacement. The technician must effectively operate equipment as required and possess a combination of electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience to perform effective repair tasks on sophisticated equipment. Documentation of work performed using IQMS software is required, as well as participation in the development and training of Maintenance Technician I employees. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment and adhering to health, safety, and quality policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

  • High School or Vo-Tech School graduate with 3+ years related experience or training.
  • In a certification program for maintenance, mechanical, electrical or other equipment related discipline.
  • Reliable self-starter with good attendance record.
  • Proficient in basic computer use and maintenance management systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficient in math skills.
  • Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with all levels in the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed technical certification in maintenance or working towards mechanic, electrical, or other equipment related discipline.
  • Knowledge and/or previous experience in blow molding, injection molding or extrusion molding.
  • Experience with processing or troubleshooting of plastics manufacturing equipment.
  • Some knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
