About The Position

We are seeking to fill a vacant maintenance position at Anthony Correctional Center and Jail. The employee will be responsible for the upkeep of numerous equipment and systems throughout the facility, including snow removal and lawn care. Additionally, the role involves repairs to electrical, plumbing, and building structures. The position will be working in a medium-security facility housing male and female offenders, and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from a standard four-year high school or GED or four year apprenticeship program or two year post secondary technical school
• Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plasterer, painter, welder, machinist, mechanic or masonry work
• Certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling may be required for specific positions
