About The Position

Perform routine maintenance and support on utility systems and building systems that support laboratory and manufacturing environment (highly regulated, 24x7, cGMP environment). You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the facilities. This role ensures all systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC service, maintenance, and installation.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical components, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoors).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED; technical school certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Candidate will ideally have experience working in pharma or biotech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and support of HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, pumps, motors, and VAV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC/R systems using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Install new HVAC equipment and upgrade existing systems when needed.
  • Monitor building automation systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all work performed.
  • Respond to emergency service requests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with other vendors, technicians, electricians, and contractors as needed.
  • Utilize proficient computer skills with MS Office suite applications, Building Management Systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience working for a maintenance organization in a cGMP Biotech/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
