Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering Degree or related field
  • Fluency in English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Learn Specialty and Bulk gas distribution systems across the site
  • Develop and evaluate key system metrics and reporting. Utilize data for continuous improvement
  • Perform project planning, technical analysis and evaluation of system options and alternatives
  • Perform engineering design activities for assigned systems; these will include capital upgrade evaluations and planning, and expense projects
  • Assist and learn maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas systems in conjunction with Technicians and Engineers
  • Work with other Facilities departments, including the FAB manufacturing team, to troubleshoot and solve gas-related issues
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
