This internship offers hands-on experience in high-purity chemical and water systems within a cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for actively contributing to assigned projects and delivering defined outcomes within the internship period.

Requirements

  • At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor's in chemical engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Fluency in English (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in all Facilities safety programs and ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with assigned mentors to seek guidance and clarification, ensuring alignment with project objectives and successful delivery of outcomes.
  • Support operational needs by contributing to urgent tasks and assisting the team as required.
  • Engage with project stakeholders to communicate project goals, raise awareness, and highlight the benefits of the study outcomes.
  • Assist senior technicians in troubleshooting and rebuilding wastewater pumps.
  • Work alongside shift operations teams to understand departmental priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs), and connect these insights to assigned projects.
  • Help maintain chemical rooms, UPW, and wastewater treatment systems in accordance with Fab 8's 6S program standards.
  • Participate in the response, investigation, and risk assessment of system performance issues, contributing to resolution efforts that support fab operations and quality standards.
