Role Overview: Veranova is seeking a knowledgeable, proactive and energetic student for our Facilities Engineering Co-Op. The Facilities Engineering team at the Veranova West Deptford site is responsible for executing new capital projects to enhance safety, quality and efficiency of the manufacturing operations. In addition, the team provides continuous improvement capabilities and subject matter expertise in various manufacturing, automation and utility unit operations. Our program consists of a 6 month co-op at our West Deptford, NJ facility.

Requirements

  • Working towards a BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
  • Must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with an experienced engineer to deliver two or more improvement projects which you will own from start to finish. These may include upgrades to safety, product protection and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with other longer-term projects to achieve a well-rounded experience.
  • Prepare comprehensive scopes of work and requests for proposal for capital project work.
  • Manage outside contractors who are employed to complete projects within agreed-upon timelines and budget.
  • Carry out any other duties which are within the coop’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
