About The Position

The Facilities Engineer will oversee all aspects of our building systems and services, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and productive environment for all employees. This hands-on role requires a blend of technical expertise,hands on work ethic, project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in facilities engineering or a similar role.
Experience building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.
Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Professional Engineer (PE), or other relevant certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

Building Systems Maintenance: Perform as well as oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, lighting, and fire protection.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of all facility equipment.
Project Management: Perform and Manage facility-related projects, including renovations, equipment upgrades, and office reconfigurations, from conception to completion. This includes budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing contractors.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all facilities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and building codes. Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.
Vendor and Contractor Management: Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage the work of external vendors and contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Energy Management: Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and promote sustainability.
Emergency Response: Serve as a key point of contact for facility-related emergencies and develop and maintain emergency response plans.
Space Planning: Assist with space planning and office moves to accommodate the changing needs of the organization.
