About The Position

As a Facilities Engineer at JLL, you'll operate and maintain all building equipment and systems while performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal facility performance and occupant comfort. This essential technical role requires you to respond to trouble tickets and work order requests with speed and professionalism while maintaining comprehensive records, operation logs, and preventative maintenance documentation. You'll apply your working knowledge of HVAC distribution and controls to make critical adjustments and corrective actions that resolve work orders, ensure occupant comfort, and maintain critical room dependability throughout client facilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two years of experience in commercial HVAC or related technical field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and repair complex building systems
  • Strong customer service orientation with ability to professionally respond to tenant requests and maintain positive relationships
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for effective maintenance and repair operations
  • Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation including preventative maintenance logs and operating procedures
  • Safety-focused mindset with commitment to following regulatory requirements and identifying potential hazards.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training or certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Understanding of commercial kitchen equipment maintenance and repair procedures
  • Familiarity with lighting control systems and electrical troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience with vendor management and coordination of third-party service providers
  • Background in commercial or industrial facility maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems including air handling units, CRAC units, air distribution equipment, controls, kitchen equipment, and lighting systems
  • Respond to trouble ticket and work order requests promptly with positive attitude while composing clear email communications regarding project status and informing JLL team members appropriately
  • Perform general repairs, maintenance, and replacement of mechanical components including floor kitchen equipment, appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Maintain comprehensive records, operation logs, and files including preventative maintenance logs, task documentation, parts inventory, operating procedures, and Methods of Procedures (MOPs)
  • Apply working knowledge of HVAC distribution and controls to make adjustments and corrective actions that resolve work orders while ensuring occupant comfort and critical room dependability
  • Inspect all facilities continuously to identify discrepancies, generate SIM ticket requests, manage related vendors, and recommend future repair and maintenance projects while tracking equipment life cycles
  • Safely operate facilities in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements while demonstrating safety rules, identifying hazards, and participating in incident investigations.
