About The Position

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Fremont Street Experience and related properties by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility projects. This role provides technical expertise and supports the Engineering Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable building systems.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience and/or formal training in facility maintenance or related fields.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of working independently and exercising sound judgment.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders multiple times per day and performing tasks that require stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to use tools and operate equipment controls; ability to reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform duties outdoors in varied weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Able to work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and caustic or toxic chemicals.
  • Tolerate moderate noise levels in the work environment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment substance screening and background investigation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Support facility projects from planning through completion in coordination with the Director of Mall Operations.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, business periodicals, and professional journals to apply best practices.
  • Prepare clear, professional reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, vendors, guests, customers, and staff; present information and respond to inquiries.
  • Exercise sound judgment and independent problem-solving skills; think creatively to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with the public and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
