This role combines hands-on field knowledge as a licensed Journeyman Electrician with engineering design expertise, project management responsibilities, and team supervision. The position ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Requirements

  • Active Journeyman Electrician license.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and/or electrical construction.
  • Demonstrated project management experience on small to medium projects.
  • Experience supervising field crews or technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable standards.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or utility-scale projects.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • NFPA 70E Training
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to bridge field execution and engineering design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office and project management software.
  • Combination of office, manufacturing, and active job-site work.
  • Exposure to machinery, high-voltage equipment, noise, and comply with safety requirements.
  • Ability to work extended hours, shutdowns, or on-call schedules as needed
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in elevated spaces
  • We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, analysis, and modification of commercial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, controls, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
  • Develop electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and material take-offs.
  • Assist with equipment selection, load calculations, arc flash studies, system troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems
  • Perform conduit installation (rigid, EMT, cable tray), cable pulling, terminations, and panel
  • Interpret and apply NEC, NFPA, 70E, OSHA, and local electrical codes.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing electrical, facilities, and shutdown projects.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; track progress and costs.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, inspectors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide day-to-day directions to electricians and technicians.
  • Assign work, set priorities, and ensure productivity and quality standards.
  • Enforce job-site safety practices and conduct toolbox talks.
  • Support training and mentoring of electricians and technicians.
  • Ensure installations meet design intent, code requirements, and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and project documentation
  • Conduct site inspections and quality audits.
  • Support permitting, inspections, and outside authority coordination.
