About The Position

As a facilities manager, you understand that relationship-building and keen attention to detail is crucial when overseeing the lifecycle of a project. As a seasoned facilities professional at Booz Allen, you can use your client engagement expertise to impact projects that will assess, secure, and create efficiency in a critical mission area. We need someone like you who is eager to oversee complex projects that'll adjust how our clients make decisions. As a Facilities Engineer on our team, you'll lead challenging projects for sensitive missions from beginning to end while managing a team of facilities professionals. Using computer-related facilities management software and your problem-solving skills, you'll oversee a team to develop creative solutions on mission-critical projects in defense. In this role, you'll guide stakeholders in the development of innovative solutions to complex problems by maintaining infrastructure in government space closely involved in those aspects such as a power, heating, and cooling. With mentoring, exposure to challenging projects, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. Requirements

  • 11+ years of experience performing physical and functional facility characterizations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, power, water, steam, or sewer, industrial control systems, and building management systems.
  • 11+ years of experience with industrial or facility reverse engineering and vulnerability assessment or analysis.
  • Experience with engineering research, capability or limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis or characterizations, and facility and vulnerability assessments.
  • Experience in complex facility design and project management.
  • Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), NFPA, ANSI, ASCE, and civil and environmental systems industry standards.
  • Ability to perform engineering duties in analyzing and characterizing all-source information regarding facility designs.
  • Ability to evaluate the capability of critical assets to survive various threats and hazards by conducting analyses of the response of structures that house and protect critical assets.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Professional Engineering Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, formulate, and recommend facility standards and design and space criteria and usage through space utilization studies and forecasts for clients in defense.
  • Lead analyses and solution development for facility planning and management for facility planning solutions.
  • Perform complex activities as related to the control and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization.
  • Prepare or review facilities estimates and site proposals for client review as to cost and feasibility.
  • Advise clients in developing plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated portfolio, facility, or individual space requirements.
  • Recommend planning, design, and construction standards or milestones.
