In the Maintenance/Facilities Engineer II role, you will play a key role in inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating and modifying all aspects of the Facility using multi-disciplinary skills including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, computer automation, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, construction and finish cabinetry work. Location: Anacortes, WA / Onsite Schedule: 1.0 FTE / Full Time / Days with rotating standby Salary: $30.64/hr - $45.51/hr What you will be doing: Demonstrates knowledge of blue print drawings by tracing piping and electrical pathways. Interpret building plans, working drawings and schematics to determine work aids and the sequence of installation or repair. Must be able to use a digital VOM and a digital clamp on a 24-volt, 110 volt and 480-volt electrical system. Must have basic knowledge of the safe and proper welding systems, arc and gas, spot and soldering. Stand weekend call and respond to request in a maximum of 30 minutes. Responsible for professional workmanship and work area safety, cleanliness and attention to detail in completing jobs. Must know and implement Engineering Department’s “Lock Out – Tag Out” safety program. Knowledge of the telephone system and its associated wiring, performing moves, adds and changes to the system. Adherence to safety procedures using appropriate safety equipment and attire when necessary. Must participate in tests, drills and inspections as required by code. Plan, layout, build and install cabinets and associated hardware. Must be able to understand and use the appropriate code book to quote chapter and verse that pertains to code requirements. Basic knowledge of the manual and automated control of: boilers and associated variable frequency drives and pumps; chillers, pumps and cooling towers; air handling units and associated variable frequency drives, variable air volume boxes and constant air volume boxes. Basic knowledge of equipment sequences of operations on the building automation system by troubleshooting an equipment failure and subsequent repair plan. Must be able to layout and install electrical conduit. Must have demonstrated ability to interact positively with Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors. Must meet regular attendance standard and must stay at or below average sick leave utilization levels.
