Job Summary This individual will be required to develop and implement capital improvement projects, such as construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and facilities. Examine and approve engineering and architectural drawings and design computations for buildings and facilities to ensure compliance with sound engineering practices and codes. Estimate cost of projects; write contracts and specifications for labor, materials and equipment for construction projects; secure bids from contractors. Conduct periodic inspections of work in progress and advise construction supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications. Inspect existing facilities and prepare reports on the condition, deficiencies observed, design necessary for repairs and estimated cost of repairs. Utilizes CAD software and engineering principles to design and communicate specifications for facility modifications, new development, or equipment. Analyzes specifications and requirements to establish facility plans and estimate design costs. Researches and sources the equipment and materials required for the facility, verifying specification requirements and adherence to budget allotment. Maintains expert knowledge of building codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations to ensure compliance throughout all design activities. Additional Responsibilities Manage capital projects for property, building and equipment.Update SOPs.Maintain facility CAD drawings for mechanical, electrical, and structural details.Manage contractors and internal labor to meet project completion goals.Troubleshoot processes, equipment and building operation issues utilizing root cause and resolution methods.Manage and execute action plans.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience
  • Engineering degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
