The Energy Manager is responsible for supporting energy management programs and initiatives to achieve energy reduction and carbon footprint goals for the MercyOne Genesis Health System.
Develop and execute site specific Energy Management Plans.
Oversee consultants and contractors providing energy services.
Support the Health System in performing tasks required for compliance with applicable energy and carbon reduction legislation.
Perform energy audits, retro-commissioning, and system optimization activities.
Develop energy conservation measures and manage resulting energy projects.
Develop appropriate Measurement and Verification protocols and manage implementation.
Perform energy data collection, analysis, and reporting to track performance against established goals.
Collaborate with other departments and external vendors to ensure the integration of energy-saving measures into facility operations and project plans.
Assist in managing energy budgets.
Develop and oversee submetering plan.
Perform tasks to identify and obtain available incentives.
Develop and present energy & financial analyses to justify energy investments.
Collaborate with Facilities Engineering on BAS controls upgrades to ensure consistent operating protocols across the system.
Stay informed about the latest developments in energy technology and practices.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Energy Management, Facilities Management or related fields.
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting) and building management control systems (BMS/BAS).
Certified Energy Manager Certification (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) certification required.
Proficiency in energy data analysis tolls and benchmarking platforms such as ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
4 Year degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science or Project Management.
Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) certification preferred.
