The Facilities Electrical Engineer will serve as the electrical technical lead for the Facilities & Services & Projects teams. The Facilities Electrical Engineer will complete electrical designs independently, and oversee & guide engineering firms throughout project life cycles. Develop and define project technical specifications in close coordination with project sponsors. Support peer engineers, including different disciplines, by providing electrical subject matter expertise for multiple facilities projects. Provide oversight and future-state planning of site electrical distribution system; identify opportunities for system improvements and present utility risk mitigation projects to Facilities & Services team. Lead troubleshooting efforts via structured problem-solving methodologies, coordinate system shutdowns, conduct breaker coordination and arc flash studies. Manage electrical load and capacity data and report out findings and proposed solutions to management, upkeep of site load flow sheets in an ever-changing industrial setting. Identify system upgrades and lead scope, cost estimate, budget, and ROI analysis to justify capital allocation to management. Review and maintain maintenance logs and maintenance budgets, and complete any and all documentation necessary to the completion of a task. Review and approve electrical design specifications, submittals, studies, and drawings for power installations in production facility, central utility plant, and general office areas.
