About The Position

The Facilities Drafter position at Exelon involves reviewing, interpreting, and verifying the accuracy of various internal and external documents related to electric and gas facilities. The position is part of a union and offers a clear progression path to a Senior Drafter title.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in Computer Aided Drafting with demonstrated experience in Microstation and IrasB.
• Ability to interpret as-built sketches.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Exelon's driving standards.
• Ability to work off hours to respond to system emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and verify accuracy of internal and external information such as field sketches, job packages, as-built drawings, and maps.
• Update electric and gas facility maps using Microstation, IrasB, and GIS (G\Tech).
• Utilize Asset Suite 8 to research affected documents related to pending map updates and associated engineering changes.
• Maintain all CAD drawings for PECO Electric Construction Standards.
• Provide emergency response support during storms, including dispatching screeners and interacting with customers.
