About The Position

The Facilities Director is responsible for overseeing the custodial staff and ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the facility. This role involves training and developing staff, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Facilities Director collaborates with the Leadership Team to support facility needs and is accountable for budget management and capital project planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Certified Pool Operator license.
• Class A Boiler License.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of cleaning and repair methods.
• Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
• Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in facility management or operations.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Train, develop, coordinate, and direct custodial staff and vendors.
• Review and evaluate performance of custodial staff.
• Develop strategies to motivate staff and vendors to achieve goals.
• Coordinate custodial activities by scheduling work assignments and setting priorities.
• Identify staff training needs and ensure training is obtained and accurate.
• Responsible for inventory control of custodial supplies and equipment.
• Manage vendor relationships for repairs, equipment purchasing, and facility upgrades.
• Consult with the CEO or Operations Director on decisions regarding outside contractors.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address maintenance and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain and develop essential personal certifications in property maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to the annual budget and operating plan.
