POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provide development and leadership to the maintenance Team Members to allow them to carry out their objectives of providing a clean and safe facility with exceptional guest service that enhances their experience. Oversee Heavy Duty Cleaners and Custodial Team Members and acts as contact person between leads and management. Maintain inventories, supplies, and adequate staffing as needed for all shifts. Does various administrative duties, such as hiring, tracking attendance, performance evaluations, and maintain Team Member files. Ensure cleanliness of the property and maintain a quality facilities staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • 3 years of experience in general cleaning.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in custodial services.
  • Knowledge of custodial program creation and implementation.
  • Knowledge of custodial supplies, equipment, and machinery.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety standards, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Basic math skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
  • Ability to cover all front-line positions if needed.
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and/or move around continuously during the assigned shift.
  • Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in custodial services.
  • Safety or OSHA certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
  • Knowledge of casino promotions.
  • To work as a team to ensure the department is striving for positive work environment and constant improvement.
  • Oversee, coach, and mentor the Heavy Duty Cleaners and Custodial Team Members.
  • Interviewing and making recommendations for hiring.
  • Implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training as necessary for Team Members on new equipment and new hazards in the workplace.
  • Conduct area inspections for quality assurance and attend to safety hazards as appropriate.
  • Reinforce safety procedures for the Heavy Duty Cleaners and Custodial Team Members.
  • Maintain accurate department records (schedules, attendance, performance reviews).
  • Maintain property and maintenance equipment.
  • Ensure that inventory of supplies are adequate.
  • Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the Facilities Department.
  • Report to Facilities Manager regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift, and advise on operational recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
