About The Position

SUMMARY: Calibrates, repairs and maintains industrial machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment. Tests systems, motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems and production machines and equipment. Maintains building and grounds including electrical, plumbing and structural components by performing essential duties and responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Determines and locates problems through observation, testing and communication with fellow employees. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems to determine malfunction of components and/or equipment. Prepares work orders to identify problems and provides a means of scheduling and tracking of malfunctions, parts and man-hours. Generates purchase requisitions for required parts and equipment, negotiating competitive prices and deliveries to ensure that company resources and maximized. Repairs or replaces defective parts or components on all equipment. Alters or adjusts parts of components to conform to operating specifications. Inspects and tests shop equipment and instructions to verify conformance to quality control standards. Lubricates and cleans parts as needed to keep all equipment in proper working order. Develops schedules to coincide with production schedules, estimating worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules as needed. Follows all company policies and safety regulations. Maintains building and grounds area. Identifies and repairs defective components of the facility, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, structural, and cosmetic components. Schedules and manages outside vendors for projects beyond ability, essential duties and responsibilities, or training/certificate/license coverage. Due to some on call assignments, cell phone needs to be answered within the hour when on call. If necessary, a phone number will be assigned for emergency situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

An Associate’s Degree (A.A.) from a two year college or technical school, or
Six (6) or more years related experience and/or training, or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
