About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring for an energetic, responsible and dependable Facilities Coordinator to join our team. As a Facilities Coordinator, you will: Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing. Empty and clean trash containers; dispose of trash in a sanitary manner. Operate mechanized cleaning equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies. Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances. Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience. Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate. Regularly examine indoor and outdoor space for trash, safety hazards, security problems and patient waste. Empty smoking receptacles and waste out-posts. Assist with facility repairs or maintenance projects as requested or approved by Practice Manager. Manage receiving, transporting, sorting and storage of deliveries. Perform housekeeping duties not performed by a commercial company. Coordinate building based inspections for safety equipment. Maintain building equipment (Oxygen, generator, sump pumps, HVAC, plumbing). Coordinate with Practice Manager for all contractors and third party providers of building maintenance. Submit all packing slips and invoices to Practice Manager. First responder for all facility emergencies. Proven expertise in facilities management Working knowledge of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of building systems and equipment (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC), safety regulation compliance, vendor/contractor relationships and bids, supply management Computer literacy with proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Mail and Calendar Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance Regularly examine indoor and outdoor space for trash, safety hazards, security problems and patient waste Manage facility and biomedical equipment repairs and maintenance projects utilizing third party vendors as needed Maintain facilities vendor and preventative agreement logs Manage ordering, receiving and storage of maintenance and housekeeping deliveries Perform housekeeping duties as needed Coordinate building-based inspections Maintain building equipment (oxygen, generator, sump pumps, water mains) Coordinate with Practice Managers and Assistant Practice Manager for contractor/vendor bids and preventative maintenance agreements Travel required between 3 hospital locations (Raleigh/Durham/Cary) Other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in facilities management
  • Working knowledge of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of building systems and equipment (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC), safety regulation compliance, vendor/contractor relationships and bids, supply management
  • Computer literacy with proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Mail and Calendar
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
  • Basic communication skills
