Position Summary We are looking for a highly motivated, accountable individual to fill the role of Facilities Controls Engineer supporting the Facilities Operations Group. As a Facilities Engineer, you’ll be directly responsible for maintaining utility systems in support of a semiconductor wafer fab. Facilities systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in the design, construction or commissioning of industrial control systems.
  • Risk analysis and data-based decision management.
  • Familiarity and experience with Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix/MicroLogix and Siemens S7-300/S7-400 CPU Hardware CPU Hardware.
  • Knowledge or industrial networks and communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, fiber optics, Devicenet, RS 485).
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT networking, virtualization, server management, Process Instrumentations, Industrial control panels, Motor Control Panels, and VFDs.

Nice To Haves

  • Software knowledge or experience with Rockwell RS Logix/Studio 5000, Aveva System Platform, Siemens SIMATIC Manager Step 7, Siemens WinCC Open Architecture and Ignition HMI is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides engineering support for the operation and maintenance of facilities controls systems by troubleshooting and modifying program codes/
  • Define, prepare, and execute the commissioning and startup processes of the controls systems to ensure they are operational and reliable.
  • Lead contractors through the development of the scope of work by reviewing control design packages, P&ID drawings, program design, simulation, testing and the startup of new equipment.
  • Identify, develop and design controls panels, improvements and upgrades to control systems for enhanced system functionality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with operators, technicians, and process engineers to develop, implement, and execute process improvements.
