This is an entry-level position. It is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company that has the rare mix of being a fun, yet high-paced and professional work environment. The successful candidate will be well-rounded in industrial mechanical and electrical skills, repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of experience with electrical and/or mechanical repair, assembly, and troubleshooting
- 1+ years of experience with hand and power tools
- Physical capabilities: standing, walking, pushing/pulling/lifting to 50lbs unassisted, squatting, bending, and twisting throughoutthe entire shift
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently without direct supervision
Nice To Haves
- Experience performing preventative maintenance (PMs), troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyors
- Experience with various electronic and electro-mechanical systems
- Previous work experience in a distribution center environment
Responsibilities
- Conveyor system maintenance and repair (including rollers and electronics troubleshooting)
- Maintaining associated systems like printers, strappers
- Power equipment maintenance and operation
- Weather response duties
- 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies
- Preventative maintenance on dock doors, levelers, and locks
- Daily freezer/cooler inspections with reporting requirements
- Light electrical and plumbing work
- Battery area maintenance
- Supporting testing procedures
- Coordinating with external vendors
