About The Position

ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for an Associate Principal to join our Mid-Atlantic Facilities team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you'll oversee projects related to building enclosure consulting, structural systems, due diligence and/or building code compliance. If you have a strong technical background, and proven leadership skills, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering, Architecture (NCARB), Civil (Structural) Engineering, or Architectural Engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Licensed or certified as at least one of the following: Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Architect (R.A.), International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) offered RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP, University of Wisconsin–Madison offered BECxP and CxA+BE

Responsibilities

  • Consulting services for the built environment including, but not limited to, specialized building enclosure and/or structural testing, building enclosure and/or structural consulting, forensic investigations, property condition assessments, and design of repairs to existing structures
  • Primary responsibilities include providing technical expertise and supporting Facilities staff within the region
  • Overseeing projects related to building enclosure testing, assessment and commissioning
  • Performing technical report reviews
  • Preparing and reviewing proposals
  • Business development and assisting other staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions
  • Leading and coaching junior staff members
  • Performing responsibilities at regional level
