About The Position

The Facilities Assistant Work Study Student will perform assigned duties related to the operation of the facilities department, and assist the maintenance team, as needed. Assist with completing daily work orders. Assist with setting up and tearing down furniture for special events. Deliver mail to campus office locations. Complete minor landscaping projects, painting, lawn care, and various outdoor projects. Be available to receive orders at the facilities shop location. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements to be an authorized driver of a college vehicle. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and perform heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Ability to use hand and power tools Move safely up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders Starting Salary Range: $15.00 per hour Classification: Work Study Education: Currently enrolled as a student at the college, with work-study eligibility. Minimum Federal Work Study Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Student must have completed a FAFSA for the current academic year, demonstrating financial need. Maintain a minimum of 1 credit hour of enrollment in eligible courses. Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
