About The Position

Are you looking to make a difference in your community? LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and responsible individual to join our team as a Facilities and Supplies Specialist in Montgomery, AL . This position is responsible for activities related to the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility and grounds as well as ordering, receiving and expensing supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
  • Ability to use various floor care machines and other electronic equipment necessary to facilitate daily cleaning and maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Interact professionally with all customers, both external and internal
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of facilities experience
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, including the daily and overall upkeep of all assigned areas

Responsibilities

  • Inspect company facility and grounds daily to ensure cleanliness and safety of all areas
  • Make repair and maintenance recommendations to the Regional Manager
  • Coordinate and monitor vendor work at the facility, ensuring all work performed by the vendor is properly completed and appropriately billed
  • Coordinate the ordering, receiving and expensing activities of the district
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory counts to reconcile inventory in the region
  • Prepare supplies needed for blood drives
  • Perform inspection of vehicles and provide cleaning as needed
