About The Position

The Facilities and Operations Clerk in the Transportation Department at Gwinnett County Public Schools is responsible for providing clerical support and managing front desk operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of accident-free GCPS bus driving experience or equivalent experience required.
  • One year of secretarial/receptionist and customer service experience required.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Strong working knowledge of transportation policies and procedures, student management, and fleet operations.
  • Efficient computer and office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all phases of front desk operations for the Transportation Department, including greeting employees and visitors, providing directions, and managing deliveries.
  • Provide clerical support for safety and training staff, including creating training rosters and managing files.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments for training and data entry tasks.
  • Maintain CDL files and assist with updating the Transportation Handbook and Logbook.
  • Support safety and training staff by coordinating training spaces and preparing classrooms for training sessions.
  • Maintain inventory of training materials and ensure all attendees have necessary materials for training.
  • Assist with the annual GCPS Roadeo practice and competition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maximum Salary: $54,347.00/Annually
