About The Position

The Facilities Site Lead provides technical expertise and project management for Shopbop and Zappos corporate facilities located at 1245 East Washington Ave and 1301 East Washington Ave in Madison, WI, connected by an indoor bridge. This position will be coordinating with external partners and stakeholders, including the building landlord/property manager, security, janitorial services, mechanical vendors (HVAC, Plumbing, Electric), and Food/Coffee vending services. This role requires working independently, but will report into a facilities manager, which will support guidance to deliver complex solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Reliability Program Manager or equivalent experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Experience with computers, including MS Excel, Word and Office.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem solving, and client/customer relations experience.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee external facilities partnerships including: building landlord/property manager, security, janitorial services, mechanical vendors (HVAC, Plumbing, Electric), and Food/Coffee vending services.
  • Learn and implement new security/facility technologies and systems as they emerge in coordination with Shopbop and Zappos managed sites.
  • Identify repetitive or serious problems and communicate issues to appropriate teams.
  • Drive improvements through feature requests and process enhancements.
  • Participate in mentoring and knowledge sharing with peers.
  • Actively work to remediate open issues and see around corners for issues before they emerge from the teams that occupy the building.
  • Manage critical facility Plant Property and Equipment.
  • Issues effective stakeholder communications in relation to the facility in which they oversee.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems is essential.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee facility-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ability to lift and move 25lbs+.
  • Expertise in managing preventative and reactive maintenance, including scheduling, overseeing, and performing repairs.
  • Safety and Regulations: Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and building codes (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA). This includes implementing safety protocols and managing risks within the facility.
