About The Position

Facilities and Equipment Mechatronics Technician Location: Sedalia, MO (Gardner Denver — 305 N State Fair Blvd., Sedalia, MO 65301) Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM Join our mission At Gardner Denver — Industrial Technology and Services (an Ingersoll Rand business), our mission is to build precision blowers and compressors that keep essential industries moving. As a mechatronics technician, you’ll be the reliability engine behind our plant—protecting people and equipment, preventing failures, and restoring flow fast when the unexpected happens. Your impact Lead rapid response on emergencies and sustain safe facility operations, including life‑safety systems (alarms and fire protection). Own CNC equipment health: install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines plus electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic subsystems. Drive component‑level diagnostics on Fanuc, Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, and similar controllers/drives. Perform major electrical, mechanical, and construction work using schematics/blueprints; create sketches for alterations and circuitry. Build bills of material; initiate purchase requisitions; make confident day‑to‑day decisions that minimize downtime. Document work with clear histories in the work order system; communicate status with internal customers. Collaborate with service vendors and cross‑functional teammates; apply handyman skills across multiple trades. Reassemble machines after service; inspect/test damaged parts; flag defects and advise supervision. Apply lubricants/adhesives per SOPs; replace/repair liners and panels (metal, wood, leather, glass, and more). Use hoists, carts, lifts, fork trucks, and hand trucks to move light to heavy materials safely. Troubleshoot and repair high‑voltage systems up to 480VAC, 3‑phase. Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Technical breadth: Pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical/electronic, and CNC machine/control troubleshooting and repair.
  • Systems thinking: Work effectively from concepts when detailed prints/drawings/specs are missing; interpret schematics/blueprints.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate equipment and process records.
  • Machine tools: Maintain lathes, grinders, mills, drills, machining centers, and similar equipment.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate and communicate clearly across shifts and functions.
  • Physical readiness: Stand/walk up to 8 hours; lift 35 lbs. solo or 70 lbs. with assistance; push/pull up to 35 lbs.; vision 20/35 or better (with correction).

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years specifically in CNC machine maintenance.
