The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking a dedicated and organized Facilities and Assets Manager in the Office of Quick Start to oversee the maintenance and management of our facilities in the Savannah region. This includes the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (and annex), the Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia (expected completion in summer 2025), and temporary training site at Lanier Learning Center. This role involves making repairs, ordering supplies, and tracking inventory to ensure the smooth operation of these locations. The Facilities and Assets Manager will use vendors for complex repairs that require an outside vendor to complete. In addition, the Facilities and Assets Manager will play a key role in maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient environment for all employees and visitors.

  • Schedule regular maintenance tasks, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general building upkeep.
  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with contractors during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.).
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.).
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Participate in coordination of projects (e.g., renovations and major repairs).
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Serve as primary contact for after-hours responses needed at each facility.
  • Respond promptly to repair requests, assess the situation, and arrange for timely resolution.
  • Monitor and manage the procurement of supplies required for facility operation.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all supplies and equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree OR High school diploma or GED AND Five (5) years of experience in a related field.
  • Technical school certificate in mechanical and/or electrical construction.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of facility systems and maintenance requirements.
  • Proven experience in facilities repair and management or a similar role.
  • Experience in managing budgets and negotiating with vendors.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and tracking.
