About The Position

Position Function: Conduct alcohol safety education classes for individuals convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) first offense. Classes are held all over the state of Mississippi. Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year. Salary Grade : UC Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Department Profile: LOCATION OF WORK: Olive Branch, Southhaven, Horn Lake, Corinth, Senatobia, New Albany, Tupelo, Oxford, Pontotoc, Clarksdale, Amory, Cleveland, Grenada, Starkville, Columbus, Greenwood, Greenville, Canton, Philadelphia, Madison, Columbia, Hattiesburg, Wiggins, Picayune, Gulfport, Biloxi, Bay St. Louis, Pascagoula, Long Beach, Ocean Springs Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitators must have a bachelor degree in the social science or related discipline, demonstrated public speaking experiences, be bondable, and reside within a reasonable driving distance to the class. Classes are located at various cities around the state. Assistant Facilitators should be employed in law enforcement, be bondable, and live within reasonable driving distance to the class. Facilitators are paid $136.00 per session worked, and Assistant instructors are paid $113.00 per session worked. Approximately 16 hours of training is required prior to the assumptions of duties.
