The position involves managing all TEA Special Education Compliance work streams and utilizing project management tools to achieve target outcomes. The role requires ensuring compliance and neutrality while utilizing district-approved procedural requirements such as ARD meeting agendas and ARD scripts. The facilitator must operate under the premise that they are not a member of the ARD committee and have no decision-making authority over the ARD committee meeting. The facilitator must be impartial and cannot provide input or an opinion into the development of a student's IEP. Responsibilities include assisting with the overall organization and conduct of the ARD committee meeting, developing and implementing targeted professional learning plans, assisting with the resolution of critical cases, coordinating resolution meetings, and conducting professional learning for department initiatives. The position also requires continual evaluation of systems of support and collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure compliance with state, federal, and district guidelines.
