About The Position

The Facilitator for Additive Manufacturing & Ideation is responsible for performing tasks for the program focusing on STEAM related skills. This part-time position requires working hours between Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with some evenings or weekends as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and demonstrated experience working with parents and children.
• Demonstrated experience using hand tools, 3D printers, laser engravers, and other tools commonly found in a maker space.
• Possess basic knowledge of fundamental STEAM curriculum concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
• Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated experience with fab lab equipment including 3D printers, laser engravers, and CNC routers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that students or parent/guardians have completed all forms and documentation accurately as required by the College.
• Assist with planning class schedules and projects for the program.
• Instruct and monitor the class as needed, ensuring students are never left alone and are following all safety rules and policies.
• Immediately report any student issues to leadership of the program.
• Complete and submit web entry time cards on a weekly basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Target starting hourly range: $19.50/hr to $20.50/hr.
• Employment contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check and drug screen.
