About The Position

The Facilitated Enrollment Representative will be responsible for presenting, following up, and selling Individual Medicaid, Essential Plan, QHP, and CHP products on a direct sales basis. This role involves assisting and enrolling individuals by completing the necessary application forms, obtaining required documentation for enrollment, and meeting enrollment targets. The representative will conduct home visits and other appointments as needed to complete applications and gather documentation. Additionally, they will develop a thorough understanding of the health care products related to their sales responsibilities and successfully complete periodic certification and testing to maintain the required knowledge level. The role also includes maintaining appointments, developing community marketing sites, establishing relationships with community-based organizations, and participating in health-related activities and special events, including evening and weekend activities. The representative will create self-generated leads and provide services to walk-ins, while also obtaining feedback from referral sources and prospective enrollees. They will stimulate word-of-mouth referrals and utilize automated tools for individual enrollment duties. The representative will refer existing members for recertification to the Retention Specialist when applicable and perform recertification activities as necessary. Acting as a liaison between all EmblemHealth departments, they will help identify and capture prospects' problems or concerns, work with the Neighborhood care team to maintain and improve EmblemHealth's image, and assist members in selecting a Primary Care Physician (PCP) using the provider directory. The representative will present EmblemHealth insurance products and benefit plans to community groups, small businesses, and other prospective subscribers, develop and execute a sales plan focusing on growth in the assigned neighborhood, and maintain and grow their book of enrollments. Enrollment activities will include on-site coverage at hospitals, provider offices, City agencies, community business partners, and Community Based Organizations (CBOs). All activities will be entered into the Salesforce tool. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 years of relevant sales experience preferred.
  • Driver's License and automobile with appropriate coverage is highly preferred.
  • Travel in the New York metropolitan area required.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and influence in the community.
  • Ability to input and update data in database system.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Successful completion of annual product training and testing to maintain regulatory certification.
