About The Position

The Marketplace Facilitated Enroller (MFE) plays a crucial role in assisting individuals without health insurance in enrolling in various government programs and health plans. This position involves conducting interviews, screening potential recipients, and guiding them through the enrollment process, ensuring they connect with the necessary healthcare services. The MFE is also responsible for maintaining relationships with community agencies and ensuring accurate processing of enrollment paperwork.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum one year of experience working with State and Federal Health Insurance programs and populations.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in community outreach or public health initiatives.
• Bilingual skills to assist a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective members without health insurance and assist with the enrollment process.
• Conduct interviews and screen potentially eligible recipients for enrollment into Government Programs such as Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Essential Plan.
• Assist in enrollment into Qualified Health Plans, offering all plans and products.
• Provide education and support to individuals navigating the application process, explaining requirements and necessary documentation.
• Assist clients in choosing a health plan and primary care physician.
• Submit completed applications adhering to submission deadlines set by NYSOH and Molina.
• Identify and assist current members with recertification of their healthcare coverage.
• Participate in community outreach projects and events for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external business partners and community organizations.
• Attend external meetings and community health fairs as required.
