About The Position

The Facial Specialist at ALBION Cosmetics is responsible for providing professional skincare services tailored to individual client needs, focusing on enhancing skin health and appearance. This role involves performing various facial treatments, conducting skin assessments, and recommending skincare products while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. The specialist will also play a key role in building client relationships and contributing to the success of ALBION's new flagship store in Venice, CA.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Esthetician or Facial Specialist (requirements vary by state/country).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in skincare or beauty industry (preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and skin physiology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform detailed skin analysis and customize treatments.
• Excellent customer service and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Ability to perform facial techniques by hand, without mechanical implements, is essential.
• Must be an English speaker.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Japanese is welcome but not required.
• Experience working in a skincare salon or spa is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of signature facials, including hydrating and anti-aging treatments.
• Conduct skin analysis to determine client needs and suggest appropriate treatments.
• Use specialized tools and equipment such as steamers during treatments.
• Apply skincare products including cleansers, serums, and masks.
• Maintain client records, noting skin conditions and documenting treatments.
• Recommend aftercare products and provide personalized skincare routines for clients.
• Stay up-to-date with skincare trends, products, and technology.
• Sanitize all tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Educate clients on skincare techniques and best practices for maintaining healthy skin.
• Handle client inquiries and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
• Assist in retail sales by recommending skincare products for purchase.
