Supervise and provide leadership and guidance to Configuration Analysts, Levels I, II and III. Support staff in the daily maintenance of all related Facets configuration duties pertaining to all lines of business. Manage daily production and quality that meets or exceeds company standards. Assist in hiring and training efforts. Responsible for coaching and evaluating team member performance. Demonstrate effective leadership by coaching to improve individual performance, develop teamwork and team support, manage change and encourage innovation, build collaborative relationships, encourage involvement and initiative, and develop increased vision and commitment to goals in others.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years Facets experience and qualified to take on leadership responsibilities, or equivalent experience in a related health field.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Thorough understanding of PacificSource products, plan designs, provider relationships and health insurance terminology.
  • Basic working knowledge of Oregon Insurance Division rules and regulations.
  • Advanced PC skills including, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to type using a standard keyboard, operate 10-key pad accurately, multi-line telephone system, and fax machine.
  • Research skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ability to be an effective and responsive leader.
  • Ability to judge severity of problems and the need to escalate to management or employ external services.
  • Current knowledge of changes in PacificSource business processes and procedures and the ability to relate that information to team members.
  • Ability to work under time pressures and deal with difficult situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, coaching, training, evaluation and leadership to assigned staff.
  • Assure production and quality meets department and company standards.
  • Lead efforts to accurately and reliably maintain, document, and test configuration.
  • Assist with analyzing existing and proposed business requirements to define configuration options.
  • Assist in documenting system configuration approaches.
  • Assist in the definition of costs and benefits of proposed solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve system configuration problems.
  • Act as liaison between company departments and IT staff.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, both internal and across departments.
  • Oversee and assist team in providing exceptional customer service to both our internal and external customers.
  • Communicate changes in business processes and procedures to ensure team members receive information in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with staff in other departments on combined projects and cross-functional tasks.
  • Oversee and assist with answering inquiries received by ServiceNow, Onbase or e-mail providing exceptional service.
  • Write and/or prepare reports as needed.
  • Serve on various interoffice committees as required or needed.
  • Document and report any pertinent communications back to the team and/or department.
  • Actively participate as a key team member in FBS Department meetings and trainings to ensure cross-team communication, collaboration and process efficiency result in consistent, high quality outcomes.
  • Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
  • Obtain and track business requirements necessary for system configuration updates.
  • Perform auditing for tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinate business activities by maintaining collaborative partnerships with key departments.
  • Assist with hiring, staff development, coaching, performance reviews, corrective actions, and termination of employees.
  • Actively participate in various strategic and internal committees in order to disseminate information within the organization and represent company philosophy.
  • Evaluate performance of team members.
  • Meet regularly for one-on-one discussions.
  • Back-up manager as needed.
  • Actively participate in department or inter-departmental workgroups.
  • Share information or issues with department leaders.
  • Regularly attend team meetings and daily team Visual Board huddle.
  • Lead and participate in special projects and committees as assigned.
  • Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
