Our Façade Engineering practice provides consulting services to architects, building owners, and developers. We support our clients by helping solve complex design challenges, improve constructability, maximize energy efficiency, and increase security. We offer a range of services for the full building life cycle with the goal of helping clients execute ambitious architectural visions. Our consulting services include materials research, specialty analyses, detailed design, engineering and construction support, and glass and façade failure investigations. In the technology-driven cladding industry, innovation comes with the territory. Nearly two-thirds of the facades we design and engineer are based on customized systems that involve unique combinations of materials. The Role We have an internship opportunity for the summer of 2026, within our Façade Engineering practice, for a Structural Engineer or an Architect with technical interests.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in engineering or architecture.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Rhino is preferred.
  • Experience with Excel, Bluebeam Studio, and Adobe InDesign Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Bluebeam Studio are helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analysis, design, and detailing facade systems.
  • Includes mullion design, glass design, backup framing, and other façade components.
  • Coordination of design work with in-house staff and other design professionals including Architecture, Structural, Sustainability, Façade access, and Forensics disciplines.
  • Assist with Material and systems research including, glass, terracotta, GFRC, stone, metal panels, and more.
  • Develop Revit components and prepare construction documents within a BIM environment
