About The Position

The Electrical Technician supports the Electrical Manager in maintaining and operating all electrical systems for Wildhorse Resort & Casino and associated properties. This position performs preventative and corrective maintenance, assists with system inspections, supports load and equipment monitoring, responds to work orders, and ensures safe, compliant operation of electrical equipment and life-safety systems in alignment with CTUIR-adopted National Electrical Code.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of electrical related experience and/or training.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • High school diploma or GED or Ten (10) years of Industry experience.
  • Read and understand blueprints, builds, and schematics.
  • Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
  • Stand and/or walk for long periods; able to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; lift and maneuver heavy items.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and tribal building codes and regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with no history of motor vehicle-related citation or arrest conviction(s) within the last five (5) years in any state per WRC insurance requirements.
  • Excellent personal appearance and hygiene habits.
  • Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of electrical trade school or apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Experience working with commercial or industrial electrical systems, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, or BAS-controlled equipment.
  • Experience in gaming, hospitality, industrial, or tribal government facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Service to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and quality staff service.
  • Assists with assembling, installing, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Assist with the technical maintenance of the facility, conforming to existing federal, and state tribal codes and requirements.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components as directed.
  • Assists with routine inspection and testing of the electrical equipment by the National Electrical Code, including minor analysis, repair, and installations.
  • Maintain work order requests and ensure completion of specifications.
  • Ensures all duties are performed safely and with proper personal protective equipment such as Arc Flash and Flash fire protective clothing, safety harnesses, insulated tools, etc.
  • Perform major and minor maintenance repairs and installation needed, as requested.
  • Responsible for understanding as-builds, in knowing the location of devices, appliances, codes, zoning, wiring sequences/methods, labeling, and components of emergency systems.
  • Shall participate in training programs relevant to the position, as outlined or directed.
  • Notifies management of conditions requiring immediate attention.
  • Ensures compliance requirements are followed through regulatory laws, PP&P, department policy and procedures, codes, etc.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, healthy, and friendly work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
  • Promote internal guest service standards by treating employees with courtesy and respect through a positive attitude.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
