About The Position

The position involves providing a safe working environment for all employees and customers in our stores while maintaining equipment. The primary responsibility is to perform service on the stores' refrigeration systems, which includes single air-cooled units, remote parallel racks, HVAC units, and refrigerated cases and coils. The role requires demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• EPA Refrigerant Certification Class 2
• Ability to prioritize tasks, resources, and schedules
• Working knowledge and computer skills in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance
• Valid state driver's license
• Actively working toward a degree at a recognized technical college
• Ability to work with other teammates
• Flexibility to handle changing assignments and projects

Nice To Haves

• General technician experience
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical mechanical components
• Maintain records of freon usage
• Work closely with a refrigeration mechanic for exposure to refrigeration and service work
• Oversee refrigeration needs and preventative maintenance

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe working environment for all employees and customers in stores.
• Perform service on refrigeration systems, including air-cooled units and HVAC units.
• Demonstrate the company's core values in daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the service truck.
• Perform timely and complete repairs and preventative maintenance on store equipment, including freon leaks.
• Assist other mechanics as needed.
• Develop working relationships with key personnel and division office staff.
• Receive orders from dispatch and combine them into a weekly work schedule.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts on the service truck.
• Travel independently to other sites as needed.
