Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of proven fuel experience and satisfactory overall performance.
  • Maintain manufacturers certifications such as Wayne, Veeder-Root, and Incon.
  • Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements.
  • Ability to use control manufacturer software.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.

  • Commercial fuel technician experience.
  • Ability to perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures.
  • Experience in making repairs to systems.
  • Ability to identify and repair defects in hanging hardware and dispenser exterior.
  • Experience navigating and investigating electronic controls interfaces.

  • Experience cleaning and maintaining company service vehicles.

  • Ability to complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Experience complying with department and company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently on call 24/7 when required.
  • Experience assisting other skilled trade technicians in repairs.
  • Ability to provide feedback on performance reviews.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and training other technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance, repair, and support for fuel stations and equipment.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values in all interactions.
  • Drive independently to assigned stores on a daily basis.
  • Perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures.
  • Make repairs to systems as needed.
  • Identify and repair defects in hanging hardware and dispenser exterior.
  • Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
  • Evaluate, repair, replace, and maintain components of dispensing equipment that could release product vapors.
  • Respond to fueling mishaps and emergency conditions, including replacing filters, nozzles, hoses, and breakaway valves.
  • Perform safety checks when returning dispensing equipment to service after incidents.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
  • Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts safely.
  • Clean and maintain company service vehicles, if assigned.
  • Communicate orally with store personnel regarding equipment usage and issues.
  • Utilize the company email system for communication.
  • Complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing, and usage documentation in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Work independently on call 24/7 when required.
  • Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested.
  • Provide feedback on performance reviews.
  • Coach, mentor, and train other technicians.
