We are currently hiring for a Fabricator in our Ashland, VA location. This position will safely perform manufacturing operations in accordance with job card and engineering drawing requirements to produce quality parts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Technical experience preferred (sawing, buffing, etc.)
Prior shear work experience (5+ years preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Strong work ethic and attentive to details
Strong adherence to safety and quality standards
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
Ability to understand drawings and produce parts accordingly
Ability to use common measuring equipment
Good communication skills
Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or alternative work shifts

Responsibilities

Follow all safe working practices.
Operates production machinery and hand tools.
Reads and follows all job card requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
Works productively and efficiently.
Maintains the work area in a neat and organized manner.
Reports discrepancies to production management.
Performs routine maintenance as required to keep equipment in good working order.
Complies with Porvair Quality System requirements.
Other relevant duties as assigned by management.
